UCN University College has pr. January 26, 2022 entered into an agreement with the local Cisco Gold Partner Lytzen IT! Lytzen IT is to take over the entire network operation for about 10,000 students and 900 employees.
Fiber lines, Wireless Network, Duplicated Connections, Security Operation etc.
Specifically, as of 15 of April 2022, Lytzen IT will take over all of UCN University College network operations. In this agreement, the network comprises 6 campuses of varying sizes; 4 in Aalborg, 1 in Hjørring and 1 in Thisted.
The total number of potential Users of the network is approx. 10,000 students, and approx. 900 employees.

UCN University College – Cloud Solution in The Netherlands
UCN NET includes all campuses and users. This is a complete service contract including wireless network, wired network, and fiber lines between campuses.
In addition, it includes duplicated connections to UCN’s cloud solutions in the Netherlands, security operations and much more. The service also includes equipment and software, operation, monitoring, support and ongoing maintenance of UCN NET.
Hence, ensuring that the technology is up-to-date and of a high quality at all times.
Lytzen IT won because they fulfilled UCN University Collage’s wishes in relation to their solution and at the same time had the best relationship between price and quality.
Since 2016, UCN University College Has Outsourced It’s Network Operations
Since 2016, UCN’s IT department has provided IT services to UCN through a wide range of agreements with professional IT providers.
These suppliers handle all facets of the IT operation on e.g. print, data center & cloud and network / infrastructure etc. Networks and infrastructure are a particularly critical service, and has been operated by KMD since 2017.
In connection with the expiry of the contract, UCN University College has had the service in an EU tender.
UCN University College – High Level Of Customer Satisfaction
The overall purpose of this agreement is to ensure maintains and raise the existing high level of user and customer satisfaction.
This is done through a complete operation and maintenance with associated monitoring, support and maintenance of the UCN NET.
This consists of an established fiber-based WAN as well as all LANs and WLANs at UCN’s locations with associated network components.

The result of this public tender is that Lytzen IT A/S wins the contract. Thus, will operate UCN University College network for the next 5 years, with any extension for another 2 years.

Lytzen IT wins because they fulfilled UCN University College’s wishes in relation to their solution and at the same time had the best relationship between price and quality.
